CTA (Call to Action)

The button or line of text that tells a visitor exactly what to do next — and whether your site converts at all.

3.1 — Conversion Path Design

…Every page in this build includes a single, unmistakable CTA so visitors always know the next step.…

What it means

A CTA, or Call to Action, is a prompt — a button, text link, or banner — that instructs users to take a clear next step, such as “Schedule a Demo” or “Get a Free Quote.”

The strongest CTAs are specific and low-risk, telling visitors exactly what happens after they click rather than relying on a vague “Submit” or “Learn More.”

Removes guesswork

A clear CTA tells visitors exactly what to do instead of hoping they figure it out.

Directly drives conversions

Every lead, sale, or booking traces back to a visitor clicking the right CTA at the right moment.

Easy to test and improve

Wording, color, and placement can all be tested to squeeze more conversions from the same traffic.

DNA’s Take

DNA's Take: We treat every CTA as a hypothesis to test, not a set-it-and-forget-it button — small wording and placement changes routinely move conversion rates more than a full redesign.
